Notes:	Classroom Attire: Dress for a professional training environment. Appropriate classroom dress includes: Departmental uniforms, business casual attire, i.e.; collared shirts and pressed pants, jeans, or BDU style pants. No shorts, tee shirts, flip-flop style shoes, yoga style pants, or tank tops will be permitted unless otherwise instructed by Training Division personnel. Wearing of hats or caps in the classroom will not be allowed. Jeans with holes or tattered material will not be allowed.

This course is mandated by TCOLE to provide the student with the information to be prepared as a new supervisor.  This course meets the requirements for compliance with 1701.352 Occupations Code for new supervisor training. Pre-Requisites: Individuals assigned to their first supervisory role. Per HB 3211, “….a peace officer who is appointed or will be appointed to the officer’s first supervisory position must receive in-service training on supervision…no earlier than the 12^th month before the date of that appointment or later than the first anniversary of the date of that appointment.”
