Please adhere to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Training Division Dress Code, which is Business Casual for both male and female students. Shorts, tank tops, shirts with obscene and/or inappropriate graphics and text, jeans with rips and/or holes, hats, and open-toe footwear ARE NOT ALLOWED. You will be asked to leave the classroom if you violate the dress code.

 Capturing and documenting the crime scene through skilled photography techniques is crucial to a proper criminal investigation. This course will address the basic concepts of photography and their application to professional crime scene documentation. Course instruction will be through lecture and practical exercises. This course meets Texas Commission on law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements for Basic Crime Scene Photography. 

Goal (Purpose of Course): To become proficient in taking digital photos to record a crime scene. 

Prerequisites: The student must have completed the Intermediate Core Course, (Crime Scene Search). A commitment to be a Crime Scene Photographer. A good attendance record and no disciplinary actions in the last 6 months for Pct 4 only. Student Equipment / Materials needed for class: SLR Digital Camera and Media Card - Lens, Flash Attachment, Camera Instruction Manual, Tripod, Cable Release or remote, extra batteries for Camera & Flash, Media Card Reader and Note Taking Materials. 

 Classroom Attire: Dress for a professional training environment. Appropriate classroom dress includes: Departmental uniforms, business casual attire, i.e.; collared shirts and pressed pants, jeans, or BDU style pants. No shorts, tee shirts, flip-flop style shoes, yoga style pants, or tank tops will be permitted unless otherwise instructed by Training Division personnel. Wearing of hats or caps in the classroom will not be allowed. Jeans with holes or tattered material will not be allowed.
