Notes:	***THIS COURSE IS FOR HCC4 PERSONNEL ONLY*** This course will require students to be outdoors and exposed to the elements of nature. Students should and are encouraged to prepare themselves by wearing appropriate, professional outdoor clothing that protects them from excessive ultraviolet light, heat, cold, and insects. Students should also properly hydrate the day before training and bring plenty of water with them throughout the course to stay hydrated. Rifle Ammunition appropriate for range use only, and pistol ammunition in calibers 9mm, .40, .38, and 45 will be supplied for PCT.#4 Deputies for this course. Students, however, should bring their duty ammunition for their rifles with them. The techniques and methodology presented in this course will focus on developing intermediate skills in the use and operation of the Patrol Rifle. This course focuses on intermediate shooting concepts and weapon handling skills during the deployment of the Patrol Rifle. This course aims to provide students with an intermediary skill set designed to improve weapon system reflexivity and handling. Upon successfully completing this course, students will possess the information required to safely use, operate, and deploy the patrol rifle during dynamic situations that may require an application of an intermediary skill set.

Students will need to bring their Patrol Rifle (w/ sling), rifle magazines, Duty Pistol, and Duty Rig with pistol magazines.
